A data breach, previously known for affecting European customers of Valve’s Steam hardware, has now been confirmed to also impact customers of the official Pokémon Center. The incident, linked to the shipping company CEVA Logistics, has specifically affected Pokémon Center customers in the United Kingdom and Germany.
CEVA Logistics, the firm at the center of the security compromise, first notified Valve about the hack concerning its Steam hardware customers. Subsequently, the shipping provider also informed Pokémon Center, the official online destination for Pokémon merchandise and collectibles, that some of its own customers were affected, indicating a broader reach for the security incident than initially understood. This report is based on information initially provided by Eurogamer.net.
