Fans looking forward to the next major Tomb Raider adventure, Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider Catalyst, will now have to wait a little longer. The game, which was initially expected to launch in 2027, has been discreetly postponed, with its new release window set for 2028. This alteration to the highly anticipated title’s schedule emerged with little fanfare.

The news regarding the delay of Tomb Raider Catalyst, a project backed by Amazon Game Studios, came to light through recent comments from an Amazon executive. During an interview with The Game Business on July 23rd, Amazon Games boss Jeff Gattis reportedly mentioned that the game would no longer meet its 2027 target and would instead aim for a 2028 release.
