Recent reports suggest that Sony has reportedly decided to discontinue its involvement with Hideo Kojima’s highly anticipated next game. The decision appears to stem from a confluence of challenges encountered during the project’s development cycle.

Among the key issues cited are consistent failures to meet established production deadlines and the game’s budget reportedly expanding beyond initial estimates. A significant factor also reported was the intention for the title to eventually release on various platforms, moving beyond an exclusive arrangement with Sony. This multi-platform ambition may have contributed significantly to the reported decision. This information is based on recent reporting by PCGamer.
