Don’t Nod, the studio behind the popular Life is Strange series, is reportedly on the verge of implementing layoffs. The developer has announced a “transformation initiative,” a move that frequently signals impending organizational restructuring and potential job reductions within a company. This development aligns with a broader trend of workforce adjustments seen across the video game industry recently.
These anticipated changes follow earlier reports from June, which suggested that Don’t Nod was facing significant financial challenges and could potentially exhaust its cash reserves by November of this year. The current “transformation initiative” appears to be a direct response to these previously identified economic pressures. This report is based on information initially published by Rock Paper Shotgun.
