Hideo Kojima’s anticipated spy action title, Physint, originally unveiled a couple of years ago, is reportedly undergoing a significant change in its development journey. The game, from Kojima Productions, will no longer be backed by its initial publisher, PlayStation. Instead, publishing responsibilities are now shifting to Xbox, marking a notable partnership for the upcoming espionage experience.

This move further solidifies the relationship between Hideo Kojima and Xbox, as the platform is already handling publishing for Kojima’s upcoming horror project, OD. The change in publisher for Physint also suggests a higher likelihood of the game eventually arriving on PC platforms. While the switch represents a new direction, previous reports indicate PlayStation views this parting of ways as an amicable one. This report is based on information from Rock Paper Shotgun.
